Today, We Fly!

Two large suitcases, two gorilla trunks, two carry on suitcases, two backpacks, and one guitar case later… Today is the day we fly to Turkey!

We are excited, nervous, anxious, happy (to go), sad (to leave), and  many other emotions all rolled into one. We are also very thankful for all of our friends and family and their unwavering support through both prayer and finances. God has blessed us beyond measure and we will be praying for his richest blessings on all of you.

  1. Safe Travel: We have three connecting flights today with one very short layover. Our entire trip should take around 18 hours.
  2. Leah’s Sinuses: I’ve had some allergy issues this past week and a lot of sinus congestion. Please pray that my nose does not run like crazy and that the pressure from flying does not worsen my condition!
  3. The Adjustment Period Ahead: The next week will include getting over jetlag and settling into our new home.

I can’t believe you’re really gone! It hit me today when we were at the Verizon store getting my phone looked at when your mom walked in. Surprised to see her, I asked what she was up to & she said that she came to turn off your phone. WOW! That was a bit hard to hear! 😉 As we sat to chat for a few minutes while waiting, we agreed that we couldn’t just delete your familiar number from our own contact lists because we just missed you too much! How silly, but real. The summer just flew by too fast.
I am SO excited to see what God has in store for you! He couldn’t have chosen 2 better people fit for the task. 🙂 Love you both so much! xoxo
